ECHOES OF THE NORTH SEA is a small collection of 21 meticulously selected shots from among dozens of photographs taken in the autumn of 2019 on the endless sandy expanses of the North Sea's eastern coasts, between the Netherlands and Skagen, the northernmost tip of Denmark.
In these shots, all taken using long exposure techniques and strictly in black and white (with a light selenium toning), the interplay of light and shadow and the contrasts between the white of the waves and the intense gray of the sand are highlighted, while the sinuous silver hues of the clouds dominate the entire scene.
Although the shots date back to late 2019, the collection is being published for the first time starting in June 2024.
All the photographs in "Echoes of the North Sea" are in a square format and in a limited edition of only 5 copies.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Bright White is a bright white cotton art paper with an inkjet coating specially tailored for FineArt printing. The lightly defined felt structure and characteristic soft Photo Rag® feel give every FineArt print incredible depth and a three-dimensional appearance. Combined with the matte premium inkjet coating, this produces impressive FineArt prints boasting vivid colors, deep blacks, and extraordinary detail reproduction. The bright white of the paper also creates particularly brilliant results for high contrast images. The acid- and lignin-free Photo Rag® Bright White meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance and is perfect for reproducing FineArt photographs and works of art.
