Original artwork description:

I painted this London scene during the London Pintar Rapido 2017 - a day when artists come together for one day to paint around the streets of London - a plein air festival.

Arriving in London by 10am, each artist brings a blank canvas or piece of paper, to be stamped on the back by the organisation committee for authenticity, thereafter they are at liberty to choose a spot in London to create a work of art, returning with the finished piece by 6pm the same day.

I set up work in Pimlico, opposite the Ebury Street market, catching the corner of the flower stall with its vibrant colours.

Painted on the spot, I chose acrylics for my medium, for their fast-drying ability. Though it was created in July, it was a typical British summer day - complete with wind and rain at intervals!
