Dynastes tityus is also known as the Eastern Hercules beetle. They are found in the Eastern parts of United States. Although their horns aren't as impressive as their western counterpart (Dynastes grantii), their beautiful spotted coloration and long life span make them a popular beetle species to have as a pet.

Dynastes tityus was featured on a stamp issued by in October 1999.
