Original artwork description:

A mixed media spray paint and screen piece on beautiful 300gsm Somerset Satin paper. This is a colour study for a larger (now sold) canvas. I made two of these with slightly different colours whilst refining the colour palette for the piece on canvas.

The image is of the platform of Barbican station in central London.

The colours are spray painted though hand cut stencils and the black layer is an enamel screen print. The spray painted colours are rich and vivid, the enamel screen printed layer is a deep opaque and glossy black which plays off the flat colours.

Painted right to the deckled edge of the paper these look stunning float mounted in a box frame.

Each piece is unique.
