Original artwork description:

This painting was started a few years ago on a walking holiday in Dartmoor. The initial sketch was done in water colour. This oil painting was made from that water colour sketch. The rivers in Dartmoor have always inspire me to paint. The great boulders and fast water tumbling over mossy rocks into deep peat-coloured pools. The sight of a someone fly fishing up stream adds a moving feature to the scene. The frame is off white with off white inner slip.
