Artist's description:
I wanted to capture the moment of stillness at the apex of a move. Here the dancer seems suspended, the strength and power in the legs lending contrast to his relaxed hands. It looks almost like a sublime stretch. I loved painting the jeans, and the contrast with the bare feet and torso. From the start this was such a pleasure to paint.

The painting itself it framed in a painted wood frame, custom made for this artwork. It is a painted light grey wooden frame.
