This abstract painting ( 36" x 24" or 91.44cm x 60.96cm ) is a rich, textured interplay of warm earth tones-deep ochres, burnt siennas and raw umbre with hints of gold and copper-contrasted with striking flashes of cool blues and hints of turquoise. The swirling, layered strokes create a sense of dynamic movement, evoking the shifting of sands of a desert, the currents of a riverbed or even the atmospheric turbulence of a stormy sky. The expressive brushwork and varied textures give the piece a tactile depth, drawing the viewer into it's organic and fluid energy.
