The weather forecast was promising a beautiful day on Anglesey. With my paints and canvas ready to go I headed to bed for an early night. I was to be up at 6 am the following morning. The alarm sounds, a strong cup of Coffey and off I went. I was heading to Red Wharf Bay near Llandona Beach. I arrived at around 6.30 full of inspiration and excitement. With my easel and canvas set up I could never have imagined what i was about to witness. On the horizon was a wall of sea mist which was rising into the sky. The mist was fading as it got higher. The morning light was fantastic. For the next hour or so I was in pure heaven. I quickly applied paint with rough and gentle strokes. The whole beach was in a state of calm. The tide was coming in and the sound of seagulls surrounded me. I had managed to capture the sea mist before disappeared. this painting is all about what I witnessed that morning and what i was able to transform onto the canvas
