This is an oil painting on MDF which I painted early morning on 6th July; we had been having extremely hot weather in the Loire Valley in France such that I had not been able to go outside and paint as I love to do. This morning was fresh with a little mist hanging in the Cher valley over Montrichard, our local town. The vineyards were peaceful although my neighbour was already out on his tractor as he too found the weather too hot. I painted quickly to capture the lovely atmosphere of this delightful summer's day. The painting is mounted on a white background and framed with a light wood, ready to hang.
