We visited Blakeney again this March and walked along the coastal footpath to Morston Quay. The tide was out and I set up my easel on the hard river bed and painted this picture. There were few boats moored but the light was perfect and reflected off the wet mud and narrow creek. The was a very different scene to Morston in the summer months when visitors gather to take a trip out to see the seals on Blakeney point (to the left on the horizon) in one of the wide beamed fishing boats moored to the jetty. (Please note the actual size of the painting is 28x19 cm)
Windsor & Newton artist quality watercolours; Cobolt Blue, Light Red, Raw Sienna on Bockingford 200lb paper.
