Artwork description:

‘Early Morning’ is printed from lithographic photo plates. The image originates from a series of watercolour drawings I made in my daily drawing sessions. Often theses images are abstractions of a place or express an idea, in this case it is a landscape.
I experiment with different materials, watercolours, inks, crayons, pencils and graphite. Often unexpected marks appear and the materials can create unintentional shapes and lines. I use these drawings to develop images for my prints.

‘Early morning’ is printed from 4 different lithographic plates on a Deffa off-set press
The image is about 22cm x 20cm with a paper margin of about 4 cm all around.
