Artwork description:

ECLISSI highlights the contrast between the solidity of the material and the idea of a natural event such as an eclipse. Metal is used to emphasize a feeling of hardness or unalterability, just like the eclipse itself, which is an inevitable and cyclical physical phenomenon. The work has a geometric shape. The lines symbolize the perfection and order of the cosmos, but also the mystery associated with the darkness of the eclipse. The play of light and shadow is essential. The metal reflects light in a special way, creating a contrast between the illuminated and darker areas, just as it happens during an eclipse when the sun is partially covered. This game of contrasts is used to symbolize the transition between day and night, between light and darkness. The eclipse itself is a phenomenon full of symbolic meaning in many cultures: it can represent the passage, the change, but also the mystery of the universe.
