Original artwork description:

Wonderful shape created by the model. Keeping it simple with red, white and black ... an outline and a splash of colour.

The unframed painting is rolled in a tube for delivery.

As the drips from the image go to the edge of the paper you may wish to put it in a float frame (which sandwiches the painting between two pieces of glass). Alternatively you could use a box frame and foam pads (like those used in decoupage) to hold the painting away from the back board. NB only use foam pads at the edges as they are a permanent attachment to the back of the work.

I attend life drawing sessions at least twice a month. It's good for professional development. A chance to try out different media. Observation skills are so important and it's amazing how tiring it is to focus o a model in a variety of poses during an evening. Sometimes my work is influenced by conversations with the model and other artists or an exhibition I've visited.

NB the colour of the picture may be slightly different on your monitor/phone depending on settings.

Materials used:

Watercolour, pastel
