Artwork description:

Considered to be the world's smallest ibis, the dwarf olive ibis lives in Sao Tome, an island off the western coast of equatorial Africa.
The dwarf olive ibis is another bird portrait in my series of endangered birds. I made this bird in an almost art deco fashion. It's very graphic!

I cut the image out of linoleum, inked it with oil-based ink, printed it onto Italian paper, and used watercolor to develop the design.

Materials used:

linoleum, oil-based ink, Italian Fabriano paper watercolor
