Original artwork description:

I was inspired to create this piece after a recent dust storm came through my part of the city and I overheard someone say it was the desert sands from the west. There are lots of swirling, gestural brush strokes on the base layer of paint, a mix of deep reds and pinks, that I have followed with the top layer of detailed lace-like circles.
