My inspiration for this Reduction linocut print was swimming in the sea with a friend..what fun!

The Reduction printing method creates a multicoloured print from a single block of lino. Through progressive cuttings, inkings, and printings, the image slowly emerges while the actual piece of lino is destroyed. A reduction print can therefore never be reprinted. This means that the whole batch of prints must be printed at the start and will determine the final number in any edition.

Materials used:

Lino printed on 200g Snowdon Cartridge paper using water washable inks
