Original artwork description:

I love the Northumberland coastline (in particular from Druridge Bay to Craster) and this painting is influenced from a spot along the way with the cloud bursts that have come to define this magical area for me, as the winds roll down from the Cheviots which straddle the Anglo-Scottish border.

This was the last painting after an art break and I was happy with the 'looseness' of the mark making on this canvas board (after a slightly more rigid start to the week) as my wrist actions interpreted the landscape in a more fluid way.

Materials used:

acrylic on canvas board
