The bushes that top the sand dunes are called Dune Rosemary. They're beautiful, tough bushes about the size of a Boxwood, and they protect the dunes from the surges of the ocean. Or in this case, the Gulf Of Mexico.
Painted in watercolor on Arches watercolor paper and mounted to a hand made (by me) painted cradled board display box. Then I gave the mounted paper a coat of beeswax, which protects the work and gives it a beautiful surface.
I've included some photos of the sides and and back that will show you the rustic way it's put together and painted. I think it is the right attitude for wind blown sand dunes.
