Original artwork description:

Purple Stacks landscape painting is simple modern contemporary atmospheric seascape artwork of the sea stacks and cliffs of Duncansby Head near the famous John O'Groats, Caithness in the far north of the highlands of Scotland: often described as the end of the road in the Scottish mainland and incorrectly as the most northern point of the British mainland.
In this landscape painting I have tried to convey the wild splendour of this dramatic remote and rocky landscape in a modern contemporary style in abstracted purple colours., where the waves of the sea pound the cliffs creating giant sea stacks Painted in dark blue purple shades, with a hint of metallic gold showing through the unique textural effect, in the sky.

Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a square format 22 3/4" x 22 3/4" (58 x 58cm) lightly textured canvas on board, framed in a modern contemporary square profile white limewash frame, with cord ready to hang.
