Artwork description:

"Duck Print" is a single colour screen print, printed in mars black ink.

To get myself back into printing again after the pandemic, I set myself a little project. The brief I set myself was as follows:

- to print using paper stencils (a very quick and immediate screen printing technique)
- to work with simple shapes and forms
- to use black ink only
- not to think too much about what I was creating

The image you see in "Duck Print" was hatched from that project (with it's it's duck-like forms, it essentially named itself!).

This screen print was hand printed in my studio in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

I have an orange version of this print available too.

Materials used:

Acid free cartridge paper, water-based acrylics
