Original artwork description:

Drums is the fourth painting in a series that takes inspiration in musical rhythms. The geometric shapes take reference in deconstructed piano keys. The composition is strong and dynamic, eliciting the staccato of hits on the different elements of a drum, like the bass, snare, tom, cymbol and hi-hat. Seemingly chaotic, a second glance reveals balance between the different elements (colors): once the eye perceptually groups the different colors, a multi-layer construct appears, resembling the rhythmic balance of the different elements of a drum solo.

Materials used:

Acrylics, paint markers
