We all know fruit flies and how fast they multiply. It definitely suggests that male Drosophilas have something special up their “sleeves” to get the ladies going. Did you know that before getting down and dirty, male fly fights for female attention by playing a song by extending and vibrating his wings? Soon after, the male positions himself at the rear of the female's abdomen in a low posture to tap and lick the female genitalia. That’s true, you may check on Wikipedia. Their copulation lasts around 15–20 minutes.
