During my walks, I see a lot of beautiful private houses with driveways. I think it is a very characteristic part of American landscapes. Those small roads on the hills, going down, up, curvy, or straight always lead you to another private world, where every person or family has the sense that it's their own private land. For a second our mind always tries to build an image of the people living there and their life. You can always partially see their gardens, taste, and attitude on how to landscape their own personal space. In this series of works, I try to build compositions reflecting private driveways and roads and how they merge with nature. No matter what it is it how unusual it looks it always becomes part of nature. I always try to make colors, textures, and shapes in a way that they cooperate together in harmony and at the same time rise questions about why that road ends there, or why there is an orange plant there. Using expressiveness and impressionistic traditions I try to develop my personal view of the compositions.
My works are on oil-primed canvas, stretched on wooden bars. The sides are painted. They have a wire to be displayed even with no frame.
