The evening sky is slowly fading from a brilliant yellow to a soft orange as two cars race across the open road, illuminated by the warm glow of the setting sun. Lush new buds paint the trees as vibrant greens, and the untouched fresh grass peeks beyond the roadside. The pair of cars careen down the straight stretch of two lane highway. The paint on car hoods twinkles in the fading sun, their wheels spinning in tandem as they race off into the sunset.

Measuring 9 x 9 inches, it is set in a flat panel black frame with a beveled edge. The outer dimensions of the frame are 15 x 15 inches.

MATERIALS: Oil painting on panel. The artist aimed to recreate the smooth glass-like quality of some classical paints while still giving it energy. This piece was created with finely-ground, pure oil paints with an Alkyd based medium.
