Subject of my paintings are moments: Passing time with looks to changing processes. My eyes with their limits reflect the situation in front of me. While I look at the situation, it is constantly changing. In this way time comes into my paintings. In general, observed processes are take place in front of us. Here I wanted to capture what is happening behind me. I´m sitting in the passenger seat. My wife drives. Our son is sitting behind us. Both are visible in the mirror. I see myself in the right side mirror. At the same time looks forward are possible. The world rushes past us. Individual views of houses stay longer in memory. Other impressions are immediatly forgotten, there remain gaps in memory, the blue areas. On my knees is the road map. We come from Hamburg, the only legible word on the card. Who knows the tracks, recognizes in the section of road: the road near Aukrug in Schleswig Holstein.
