This painting is a unique piece that formed part of my early collection of oil paintings. I wished to create a piece of work that may provide the viewer with their own story behind it. Prior to creating this my first thought was to think of a background and decided to use a living room setting, the main inhabitants being fish. Adding some humour to this rather than the cat trying to catch a fish to eat it is trying to hook a bottle of beer. Lots going on within this picture.
Perfect for adding a statement piece to living spaces that may create a talking point with visitors.
Executed in good quality oil paints, painted on all sides, and finished with a glaze of gloss varnish to protect against sunlight and dust. It just needs a nail or wall fitting to sit flush against the wall.
