Original artwork description:

Dusk III is part of a triptych I captured from some of my photos of a Colorado sky, where I lived during the growth phase of my family. It’s a challenge for me to simultaneously paint related pieces, but I did. I even had three easels out at one time. I had to figure out what parts of the adjacent canvases needed to be expressed with the some color I was already using, because the lions share of what I make is somewhat unplanned and spontaneous.

I usually want to move on to something new and different after I paint a piece. I have be different, seek what’s different. That’s me. I chase novelty.

I often research titles in other languages for my work as well. I just can’t settle for sameness. I like titles to sound like I imagine my painting might it weren’t solely visual. Quixotic. My first grade teacher called me her little enigma. Important for retaining a unique perspective, and very telling about how we actually do remain the same in our core as part of being human.

Dusk III arrives prewired and ready to hang. The deep 1-1/2" museum mount edges of this canvas are painted as 3D extensions of the main image.
