With Drift and Flow, I wanted to paint an abstraction, the way the coast feels, constantly shifting, never still. The deep blues pull like the tide, while warm ochres and soft neutrals hint at sunlit sand and weathered cliffs. The palette knife gave the texture I was after, rough in places, smooth in others, just like the landscape itself. It’s less about the details and more about the movement, the atmosphere, the kind of scene that stays with you long after you’ve left the shor
