Original artwork description:

This painting is quite a dreamy, has an otherworldly feel.
Some artlovers have commented that it looks “oriental”. It was my intention to make this ordinary scene of a discarded boat seem somehow extraordinary.
The boat is also dream-like as it seems somehow at rest, out of the way, in retreat.
I use purple pink shades which are quite spiritual and meditative and otherworldy.
I find the still water meditative so unruffled by the abandoned boat and the abandoned activity.
The tree’s branches and leaves look light like flimsy tissue also. The wispy cloud and shattered leaves are all as they are, in the right place, spiritual.
Everything is slowed down, meditative, slightly Oriental in it’s gentle touch.
