It is believed that there are only 200 Amur Leopards remaining in the wild.

Story behind the larger series

A collection of 4 big cats with a nostalgic quality, as if from a long lost dream. The cats are drawn with thousands of tiny dots with a soft abstract background and foreground appearing like colourful clouds.

The inspiration behind the illustrations were the growing fear that they will one day be extinct, which gave me the idea to create them in a dreamy way. One day they may become merely a dream.
