ONIRISTIC ATMOSPHERE - enamel and paint on canvas 60x80 cm.
In this painting a nude woman with her gaze turned towards a shattered environment, from which the reflection of her face emerges. A dream, a nightmare, it is the representation of her own hidden world. Real and surreal world, light and shadow, perspective and geometric space barely illuminated by a half moon. The red shoe, red like blood, like sick love.
A composition in figurative, surreal style to tell the story of myself, - the unconscious part of my being. A mixed technique in which the physical, recognisable reality merges with the abstract, suggesting different moods, arousing emotions and feelings, expressing sentiments, making us dream and reflecting. Colour in fluid form emanates energy, the unconscious is an inspiring part of the composition. The work takes on a personality of its own, and like sweet music, ‘moves the soul’.
The canvas as a surface on which to act with enamel colours and varnish. The edges are finished, the canvas does not need a frame and is ready to hang.

I paint my visions between dream and reality, taking inspiration from my digitally processed photographs on canvas with the addition of enamel and acrylic colours, to mix the figurative and the surreal, evoking metaphysical mystery and pop art explosion. In this work, a red drape vibrates against dark and intense tones, surrounded by sunflowers representing light in the dark, hope. The central figure, almost a bridge between worlds, invites us to reflect on existence beyond the visible, giving energy and depth to any host space. I draw inspiration from some of my models, and in particular from my most beloved and life companion.
Eros and sensuality are at the centre of my research and are expressed through the provocative and almost exhibitionistic attitudes of the protagonists. Seduction is the red thread that binds all the works, with the female image becoming an emblem in which a sophisticated and elusive sensualism remains underground and secret.
The authentic work is executed by me in a single piece. Finally treated with clear varnish to make it durable and resistant over time.
