Original artwork description:

The main focus should be on the gaze - that's where the title comes from... reading the eyes. The rest is there to be interpreted by the viewer. You could see it as a further insight into "her" complex nature or past experiences, or other qualities (the muteness of the fishes, secrecy of the cat, undertones and overtones of Tahitian pearls... In few words - life around her. I particularly like the double headed swan ( to represent mating for life) = one body, two minds.
