This is an abstract Original Oil Painting painted in my studio in Newburgh, NY, 2023. In this 8x10 figure study on canvas I worked to capture the essence of stained glass windows, quilts, and tapestries. I describe it as a modern abstract portrait style with vivid pastel colors in lilac purple, blues, and greens. It has bright joyful colors but something about the figure's lean makes the emotions quiet, maybe cold? It's the kind of conflict I love best within an image.
