Original artwork description:

My inspiration for this painting was the luminous colors of setting sun and sparkling reflections below. As I watched the sun getting lower, and the sky getting darker, the only remaining bright highlights were the colorful clouds, illuminated from beneath by the last rays of setting sun, and their reflections in the water. The sail boats were safely tucked-in for the night in the harbor, the front boat stood out in the middle of reflections sparkles. I loved all the colors in this low-light setting, and strived for their depiction in my painting.

Materials: oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen on 1/8 MDF archival art panel, the back of the panel finished with melamine that prevents warping and deterioration. The painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
