This tender pink rose with dark and dramatic background resembles my feelings. Heavy yet fragile with a glimpse of hope. You see a soft transition of pink, purple and yellow tones throughout the painting.

I am Ukrainian and was forced to leave home. After spending a year between countries, I decided to return to Kyiv.

I painted this rose during the war against Ukraine and it carries my hope for peace. It is full of feelings and desires for something kind and caring.
I painted it while in France.
