It was that sort of day! The sun was bright but low and the cliffs dark and dramatic. A flash of light on the sea combined with the red lighthouse on the harbour wall and I knew I had to paint it!
The area is dark and volcanic with the white restaurant building making a superb contrast.
This watercolour was painted en plein air on heavyweight rag paper using top quality non fade pigments.
