Acrylic on canvas
16x16" framed in black wood
The artwork was shown at The OXO Tower with The Holy Art, March 2024 & The Other Art Fair, London March 2024 - presented by Saatchi Art.
Having relations in LA, one of which is a director on a TV Drama, I wanted to paint Hollywood Boulevard.
The idea came from my Central Saint Martin’s days, watching the fashion students walk by, so flamboyant and dramatic, making you do a double take!
I used acrylic paint for the bold flat colour it creates, enhancing the blue of the sky and the red of the dress. The structure of the buildings and the parked cars fade into the distance, leaving the two girls as the central part of the painting.
