"Dragonfly with blue summer sky", oil on masonite, 20X20 cm

A beautiful imaginary green insect on a blue background. The idea of the painting is a dragonfly in front of a pure blue summer sky. The colors are blue, green, little touches of yellow and ocher. The painting is made with thin layers of oil, the white is the color of the gesso, under the oil. I've just take off the painting to let appear the white. One more time, I've exploited the pareidolia, letting forms and shapes appearing hazardous and then, working on forms to make appearing a recognizable subject.

I love the complexity of natural forms, nestings hazardous, the richness of all forms and colors. Nature is fascinating for a painter, even when it's an imaginary nature !

Time for beauty and poesy, with foliages.

The artwork is painted on a thick gessoed pannel of masonite. Edges are painted in blue. The artwork is ready to hang.
