Original artwork description:

This picture is part of a series of semi abstract images of dramatic woodlands. The common factor is not just the strong colours but the interaction of those colours together. I have created depth by using a contoured ground and painting with a combination of acrylic and pastel. Many, many layers of paint also adds to the feeling of depth and intricacy.
