I painted 'Down to the Bluebell Woods' in May after our first walk a little further away from home, in many weeks. Every year I look forward to taking the path across some fields, then seeing the wonderful sweeping views across the Vale. We go down the hill, past an ancient oak, over a style and into the dark woods. Suddenly, the wonderful carpet of bluebells comes into view. Every year it seems special but this is the first time I've painted it.
This is an acrylic on canvas painting.
It measures 40.5cms x 51cms approx.
It is unframed but I have painted the sides white and added a string for hanging so it can be displayed as it comes if wished.
Please note, there is a stain on the reverse of the canvas where I knocked my wash over while underpainting in the studio but this has no impact on the finished image.
