Artwork description:

With the perimeter wall of the Gyeongbokgung Palace as the backdrop, two woman pass by with parasols in hand to defend from the burning sun in traditional hanbok dresses.

The traditional hanbok style of clothing, whilst not worn day-to-day, is still very much prevalent around South Korea. Worn for ceremonious occasions and when visiting the palaces (albeit mostly just by tourists), it allows for a very immersive experience when visiting the historical areas of the now highly modernised city.
