Original artwork description:

This artwork is reflecting on the circle and the square, an attempt to combine the contrasts between red and blue, cold and warm, round and square. It consists of 2 squares 42x42 (this is a diptych). Each square (watercolor part) is a passe-partout for an ornamental insert (in the watercolor part of the work there are rectangular cutouts for blue inserts with patterns). Ornamental inserts are made on a different type of paper with other materials: ink, markers. The whole thing looks very interesting thanks to the combination of too different textures and colors.

Materials used:

watercolor, ink, pencils, markers
