This is the second piece in a series tackling the beauty of the planet in which we live, and all of the problems that are facing it and our survival. However, it is depicted in such an abstract way with cool, beautiful colors, that the mood of these pieces are peaceful and serene. It is a wonderful juxtaposition of theme and emotional effect. The center of the piece is literally 3-dimensional and pops out at the viewer giving the cool effect of the earth or sphere floating above all of the beautiful abstract waves and colors below. Perhaps these pieces will inspire viewers to ponder and meditate on some deeper realities, while enjoying the beauty and serene colors of the painting.

Note: In line with the theme of this piece, this painting is painted on reclaimed wood from an old dresser. It is recycled, reclaimed, and eco-friendly. The piece is naturally framed and the surface elevated and therefore does not need to be framed.
