This started as a trial piece for a much larger commission, but it worked out so well that I decided to make it available for sale. The title of the artwork is from a song by Bill Ryder-Jones which I was listening to whilst doing some of this painting.
Vertical lines are used throughout the painting and these give it a feeling of a summer meadow viewed from ground level.
The painting is full of hope and was painted in the early days of the Covid-19 outbreak, before the lockdown in the UK.
Acrylic paint brushed over canvas. More paint added directly to the canvas from paint tubes in vertical lines to the surface.
