This Dolphin painting. Inspired by the feeling you get when you go for a swim in a lake or the open ocean. Swimming in open waters is both metal and physically good for you. Evoking feelings of euphoria and achievement. Capturing the movement of the dolphin jumping out of the ocean, flooding the room with energy.

Feel the icy cold splashes of water against your skin and feeling that sense of euphoria. Hang this in your home to remind you to get out there and go for a swim.

Why Blue?
Blue is the colour of the ocean. Being near or in the ocean can make you happier and healthier. Humans, when around water feel an immeasurable sense of peace. Which is important when being in the over-stimulated state of modern life. I strive to bring the calming colour of blue into your home for a relaxing atmosphere.

Painted with oil paints in a monochromatic style. Painted in tones of prussian blue. Lighter and darker shades where added to create dimension. The shades of blue were all mixed using white, black and prussian blue.

“Joy” is a 20.3 x 25.5 / 8 x 10 inch oil painting on canvas. Does not need a frame.
