This is one of a series of 10 Ink drawings of my family’s Japanese Akita sleeping. He didn’t like being drawn so I took my chances to draw him as he slept. It was very interesting to see the many different positions he would sleep in. As he would only sleep for a short time each drawing was a race against time to capture the new positions before he woke. This also explains the different look of some pictures being more complete than others, I tried experimenting with a mixture of simple lines and more detailed areas to work faster and capture an overall impression of Shadow in each position.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver to every country at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
