A handmade three colour abstract landscape linocut print in copper, teal and indigo

When this print catches the light the warm flowing copper lines in the background glow. The image shifts between the busy landscape foreground and subtly patterned and mesmerizing back ground.

My dog and I walk around our local suburban neighbourhood every day and are so familiar with trees, hedges, fences, houses and vehicles that I can close my eyes and draw the route from memory.

Look closely and you will see dogs and their owners, cows and sheep.

I transfer my drawing onto the linoleum with red carbon paper and carve into the surface intuitively with sharp linocutting tools.

Using three blocks of linoleum, I cut and print the first copper block and then using a registration card align and print the second teal block, carving, inking, aligning and printing the final indigo block, using an etching press to transfer the printing ink from the lino to the smooth side of Ho-Sho Japanese acid free paper.

Each print is numbered, titled and signed in pencil, protected with glassine tissue paper and sealed in a cellophane pocket with hardboard support. Carefully and lovingly packed in a stiff card envelope, insured, tracked and guaranteed next working day delivery within the UK and 2 to 3 working days for Europe, 3 - 5 days Globally, so that it arrives safely and in perfect condition.
