Hi,
This is a commissioned piece (for my wife) of our late cat, Dizzy.
She loved to sleep on the stairs in the sun - a happy cat.
Painting a jet-black cat is a challenge because there isn't much variation in tone, even in direct light. This gives you a lot of opportunity to use dark blues and purples to enliven the shadows - which I love to do,
