"Divinely Deco" from my Figurative Series, is my homage to all that is Art Deco with a contemporary twist.
It combines my love of figurative painting using traditional painting techniques and contemporary abstract mark making with decorative embellishment detailing using gold leaf, copper leaf, silver leaf and stencil work.
"Divinely Deco" has been most enjoyable to paint and has fulfilled my expectations to create a sophisticated figurative piece that blends the old with the new.
