Part of a series inspired by beautiful coastal rock lines and formations, this oil and cold wax painting is softly textural, playing with the subtleties of texture and ancient lines found on rock surfaces. I am fascinated by geological formations, rock surfaces and ancient lines found where the sea meets the land, where the rocks have been subject to the eternal rhythm of the tide as it washes in and washes out, the relentless forces of the elements, and the internal forces of the earth's movements. The minutiae of the surface detail sitting on the immensity of the global land mass. Oils and cold wax on cradled panel set in a white tray frame and has d-rings and cord, ready to hang. It is signed on the back of the panel.
